Wild card Arthur Fery beat Grigor Dimitrov 7-5, 3-6, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-7) on Centre Court to reach his first Grand Slam quarter-final at Wimbledon. The 23-year-old world number 114 completed the win by holding a deciding 10-point tie-break 10-7 after twice coming back from a break down in the fourth set. Fery was making his debut on Wimbledon's biggest stage a short walk from where he grew up and stood in disbelief as the crowd rose to their feet. Roger Federer watched from the Royal Box during the match. Fery is the first British wild card to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final and the lowest-ranked man to make Wimbledon’s last eight in 12 years. He will face Flavio Cobolli in the quarter-finals next.
