Arthur Fery beats Grigor Dimitrov, reaches Wimbledon quarterfinals

Arthur Fery defeated Grigor Dimitrov 7-5, 3-6, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-7) in a five-set centre-court epic to reach his first Grand Slam quarter-final at Wimbledon. The 23-year-old wild card, world number 114, came from a break down twice in the fourth set and held his nerve to win the deciding 10-point tie-break. Fery is the only British singles player left since the second round and the first British wildcard to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final. He is also the lowest-ranked man to make the last eight at Wimbledon in 12 years. Roger Federer watched the match from the Royal Box as Fery, making his Centre Court debut a short walk from where he grew up, stood in disbelief after the final point. Fery now meets Flavio Cobolli in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.

I’m 5’9” and my dad is 6’6”, and I’m reading that Arthur Fery is 5’9” and Alexander Zverev is 6’6”, so I’m aware of what that height differential feels like, and if (big if) they end up meeting in the semi finals I’m REALLY looking forward to the post-match embrace at the net

Nibling A and Nibling B are teenagers. Nibling A is 5'4", Nibling B is 6'0". Nibling B is 2 or 3 years younger than Nibling A. Genetics is weird. (Mum is 5'8", dad is at least 6'3")
