Fans travel worldwide to see Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in IMAX 1570

Tom Holland jokes about getting the call from Christopher Nolan to star in ‘THE ODYSSEY’: “Honestly, I thought he was supposed to call Timothée Chalamet.”

THE ODYSSEY: Top tier Nolan. An epic, unforgettable experience. Somehow manages to wring a story that’s fresh and relevant from a text that’s thousands of years old. The cast is uniformly excellent but my favorite is Robert Pattinson, who will test your limits for how much you can hate a character.

Saw The Odyssey last night and I’m massively disappointed with the liberties Christopher Nolan took with the subject matter. Absolutely *nothing* on the 1970s New York disco scene. Where was “use it up” or “going back to my roots” on the soundtrack? And Matt Damon made a *terrible* Bill McEachern.

Based on the posters I’ve seen all round London today I’m looking forward to seeing Christopher Nolan’s IMAX featuring characters from The Odyssey

THE ODYSSEY: A fantastic, truly old school epic, stacked with amazing performances and flat-out stunning cinematography. Matt Damon is great. BUT! As I feared, when it comes to the fantastical, Nolan skimps, choosing a middle path when he should have went all out. He doesn’t go full Harryhausen.
