Red Sox extend win streak to 14 after Caleb Durbin's 8th-inning homer

Caleb Durbin hit a go-ahead solo homer in the bottom of the eighth as the Boston Red Sox rallied to beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 on Monday at Fenway Park, extending Boston's winning streak to 14 games. The Red Sox came from behind on three separate occasions, capitalizing on two Orioles errors by Jeremiah Jackson and Gunnar Henderson in the third to take a 3-1 lead. Rookie starter Payton Tolle struck out nine and was one out shy of his ninth quality start before allowing three straight singles in the sixth that produced Baltimore's go-ahead runs. Christian Encarnacion-Strand hit a solo homer for Baltimore and later added an RBI in the sixth, but Durbin's eighth-inning blast provided the decisive margin. Interim manager Chad Tracy praised the club's resilience, and Tolle called the game an "incredible" experience for teammates picking each other up. The win also snapped Baltimore's seven-game winning streak and leaves Boston one victory short of tying the franchise record 15-game streak set April 25 to May 10, 1946 by a team that included Ted Williams, Johnny Pesky and Bobby Doerr.

Basically, we got the 3B everyone was saying we needed in exchange for a good pitcher (Harrison), but everyone else in the deal has basically been "useful pieces". I'd argue that Monasterio/Siegler have been more useful to the Sox this year than Harrison would have been.
