The homer, Muncy’s 19th of the season, pushed his career total with the Dodgers to 228, tying Ron Cey for the second-most home runs by a Dodger since the franchise moved to Los Angeles in 1958. Eric Karros remains first among Los Angeles-era Dodgers with 270 homers. The blast came in a pitching duel Los Angeles ultimately won 2-1, and it moved Muncy onto the club leaderboard cited in contemporary coverage of the game.
