Big Brother 28, Devens uses Veto and backdoors Rome

In Week 2 of Big Brother 28, Head of Household Rick Devens won the Power of Veto, used it to remove Lyric from the block and backdoored Rome, whom he had been targeting. Devens originally nominated Lyric, Melody and Jason, but he quietly confirmed Rome as his true target while others brawled during the nomination ceremony. Angela confronted Jason about sloppy gameplay, sparking insults that escalated into a second house fight between Rome and Haley. The chaos left Melody in tears questioning her game and LaTrice hurt after learning Rome did not fight to protect her. Taylor advised LaTrice to lay low, and Rome later apologized to LaTrice, but whether that repairs their strategic standing remained uncertain.
