Big Brother 28, Devens uses Veto and backdoors Rome

tvJul 23, 20262735,684

In Week 2 of Big Brother 28, Head of Household Rick Devens won the Power of Veto, used it to pull Lyric off the block and backdoored Rome as his true target. Devens had originally nominated Lyric, Melody and Jason but told the episode he knew who he wanted gone and waited to win veto himself. The nomination ceremony erupted into arguments when Angela accused Jason of sloppy gameplay and emotional manipulation, prompting a heated exchange between Jason and Angela. Later confrontations between Rome and Haley escalated and Rome admitted he had not fought to protect LaTrice when Devens asked for a safety list, leaving LaTrice hurt. Houseguests reacted with tears and apologies: Melody questioned her game, Angela and Jason reconciled after Jason apologized, and LaTrice considered laying low after being blindsided. Devens’s move to backdoor Rome redirected the week’s power dynamics and set Rome up as the likely eviction target heading into the vote.

I think blaming our faves’ poor gameplay on Angela is a bit of a cop out. It’s not Angela’s fault they are playing into her paranoia lol good players should be able to navigate around that. It’s still so early and so much can happen! I’m interested to see how it plays out #bb28
