Strange New Worlds Season 4 premieres on Paramount+
The original ORIGINAL starship Enterprise model — built for "The Cage" and lost for 40 years — is displayed publicly for the first time at the Paramount+ Lodge at #SDCC. This will also be at the #STLV #StarTrek convention in Las Vegas next month!
Another thing - I understand people boycotting Paramount over *gestures arm vaguely at everything* So I'll also say - I hope you enjoy the new season of #StrangeNewWorlds However you manage to watch it
If Strange New Worlds had an issue with piracy why is one of their best characters a pirate? Checkmate liberals
I have no idea what you mean, Seán.
As I always say, regardless of the political/greedy leanings of Paramount, I think it’s important to support those who worked on the shows and the shows themselves. We’ve all obviously seen the impact it can have on them when things go badly, because of how poorly SFA was treated.
My rewatch of TOS kind of hit a standstill after Academy got canned. So I was gonna pass on watching SNW this time around since that's cancelled too, but to deprive myself of a show I love because of the bastards in charge really feels like caving in to their whims.
That's assuming it's actually good and worth watching, a scenario for which I have increasingly little faith.
Grateful that it’s on broadcast tv up here in Canuck-land, so that I don’t have to sail the seven seas searching. (Even though family history MAY include actual buccaneers)
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is now back on Paramount+ with the fourth and penultimate season. 🖖 Filming for the show wrapped up last year. In fact, filming for all the shows has wrapped, and we can expect announcements soon, with Trek's 60th anniversary in September.
I'm excited for this, but really have qualms about paying Paramount. May have to sail the high seas on this one. I've really loved SNW. It was super fun, with a dash of social commentary.
Also, boycott Paramount+ and the Ellison family
Of the 3 series, I think strange new world has my favorite aesthetic in terms of ship photography, despite the lens flares, it seems to do the scale and momentum well, similar to the best of the Kelvin timeline. Its too bad about picard, if I was a kid I would have ate it up, but its just not good
I’m terrified of what Star Trek is going to become at Paramount under Ellison’s ownership
Whilst it has its fair share of hokey episodes, at its best this series is phenomenal. Best Trek since DS9 in my opinion.
just want them to do a TOS style remaster on DS9 so we can get a proper HD version of the show.
When I realized a non-zero population of this site was psyching themselves up to lecture the toddlers on responsible marshmallow management, I logged off and watched the new ep of Strange New Worlds.
I clicked through and every person arguing about this could stand to log off
About to log off and watch guys ride horses in space, too.
This week's SNW was BONKERS in the best possible way.
Smart. I only saw the discourse a little while ago and I'm about ready to go bake some cookies.
It's been a long time coming, but I added Strange New Worlds to the generator today to kick off Season 4! Let me know if you run into any bugs, especially with the SNW "Metallic" font option. trek.epicrandomness.com
Note to self: Be careful when you do a find and replace in code to not 'replace all'. I just caught that the new SNW color options messed up most of the other shows because I accidentally overwrote the color codes on the other show! Easy fix; it should be fine once GitHub catches up, sorry guys!
Thank you for all the work! These are so freaking cool.
Thank you it works beautifully!
So wait. in Strange New Worlds for three seasons they've been fighting extensively with the Gorn, the Gorn raid planets and kill tons of people, and in "Arena" Kirk and the gang are like "Gorn? Who are these mysterious Gorn?"
its a pretty big retcon! there's been a few of those.
Wait until you hear about the time Kirk didn't know that Spock's father was one of the Federation's major diplomats.
Also, boycott Paramount+ and the Ellison family.
Also, SNW portraying the Gorn as "genetically destined to be evil monsters" is some USA othering bullshit not worthy of Star Trek

time travel shenanigans messed up everything from first contact with the Gorn to Khan's birthday
Seeing this in passing is how I found out there was a new season of Strange New Worlds, which just seems really odd. Have streaming services just stopped promoting anything now?
What else does Paramount+ even have besides Star Trek? This is apparently the media juggernaut that's taking over Warner Bros. Discovery and they can't even advertise their own shows to people who watched previous seasons. I think I know why streaming's failing, lads!
Promotion seems aimed at attracting the maximum number of eyeballs at launch, and a lot of that now is 'second screen watching' for people who are also doom-scrolling on the phone. 'You might like' or discovery/browsing seem almost divorced from what you've previously watched and enjoyed.
Streaming services would be better if they incorporated subscriber feedback instead of using algorithms derived internally to the company.
And this is how I found out the new season had started.
