Rays edge Blue Jays, 4-2, in tight Toronto game

The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2 in a close game in Toronto. Alejandro Kirk hit a solo home run for the Blue Jays, accounting for one of Toronto's two runs. A notable defensive oddity came when Rays second baseman Taylor Walls overslid the bag at second base, put his hand on Andrés Giménez's glove that held the ball, and tagged himself out in the bottom of the fifth with the score 1-1. Tampa Bay held the lead late to secure the two-run victory, handing Toronto a narrow loss.

It's going to be a heartbreaker if he's dealt. I get it, this year's Jays have been too injured for too long & don't have the bats to pull themselves back up. BUT this era of Jays isn't over. They will continue to re-tool in the off-season, and Gausman probably has a couple yrs of quality ball left
