Arsenal have completed the £34m signing of Greece winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge on a five-year contract. The 24-year-old arrives as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who moved to Besiktas, and is Arsenal’s third permanent signing of the summer. Tzolis scored 43 times in 108 appearances for Club Brugge and featured in their 3-0 Champions League defeat to Mikel Arteta’s side last season. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta described Tzolis as a versatile attacking player who naturally operates on the left, is an excellent two-footed finisher, and brings technical ability and positive energy. Tzolis previously played 14 Premier League games on loan at Norwich in 2021-22 without scoring, then had loan spells at FC Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf before moving to Club Brugge in 2024. The arrival provides attacking cover while William Saliba is set to miss an extended period with a back problem, and follows Piero Hincapié’s permanent signing and Illan Meslier’s free transfer to Arsenal.
