Sam Kerr scored in the second half to level Gotham FC 2-2 against the Portland Thorns, marking her first NWSL regular-season goal since 2019 and the 78th of her NWSL career. Gotham and Portland traded goals in a match notable for Morgan Weaver returning after 621 days and Sophia Wilson being singled out for an electric performance. Portland's Jayden Perry received a red card in the 73rd minute, leaving the Thorns down to 10 as the game finished 2-2. Gotham defender Emily Sonnett was stretchered off about 10 minutes into the match with a suspected left knee injury and will receive further evaluation in New Jersey.
