🇷🇴 Dan: This morning, at 8:30, a new drone was shot down in Romanian airspace. The drone was shot down by a Romanian pilot from an F-16 aircraft.

⚡ Russia has once again violated Romanian airspace. A Romanian F-16 shot down a Russian Shahed drone in near the Ukrainian border. President Nicușor Dan said Romania will lodge a diplomatic protest, calling Russia’s repeated violations of Romanian airspace “unacceptable.”

Downing Shahed drones with F16s isn’t the flex we can afford longterm. There’s a country that’s been quite proficient in it due to… let’s say, circumstances. Anyone at NATO knows what that country is or how to reach them?

Also already today, a third successive attack on Romania. Last night Bucharest confirmed the first drone shot down was a Russian Shahed-type killer UAV. It seems certain yesterday's & today's are too. Romania's getting better; the invading objects were shot down quicker each day

We located the first strike to the town of Inafarak on July 12. The strike appears to have hit a commercial facility, with a damaged truck and damaged fuel drums visible. Within footage taken of the aftermath, an MD-550 engine component is visible, a remnant used in the Shahed-136 drone family.
