Kody Clemens hit a two-out, 0-2 count, walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to lift the Minnesota Twins to a 4-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals. Clemens faced Matt Strahm and sent a 104.7 mph, 27 degree drive 407 feet to right-center field to plate four runs and erase a 3-0 deficit. The Twins had been held scoreless most of the day and were down to their last strike before a hit batter, a single, and a walk loaded the bases ahead of Clemens. The homer is the sixth walk-off grand slam in Twins franchise history and the first since Brian Dozier on July 15, 2018. The swing completed a comeback that prevented a sweep and secured the Twins’ win in the series finale against Kansas City.
