Clubs across England and Europe completed final pre-season friendlies today. Swansea City led Leganes at halftime after Joseph Opoku struck from around 35 yards, with Marko Stamenic forcing a smart save and Zan Vipotnik starting on the bench after missing games in Austria. Stephen Welsh and Ben Cabango were omitted from Swansea’s matchday squad, and Cameron Congreve was absent as he closes in on a move to Belgian side Westerlo. Portsmouth drew their pre-season contest in Germany against Darmstadt. Solihull Moors published their pre-season report as they finish warmups ahead of the new season.

Can’t get a squad of strangers to gel into a team on the pitch in a few weeks.It will be October or November before we can make any judgement. Survival in L1 is the priority. Sadly fans on social media won’t give the players,coach,owner the luxury of that time. I imagine #swfc on X is in meltdown

Never bothered about preseason friendlies for years. Means nowt. The times we've blasted opposition to shreds in PSF then had a shite season. Come Xmas all will be clearer. ( That said, Im off to watch my Granddaughter play for Rotherham Women against Dronfied in a PSF tomorrow & getting excited 😊 )
