That second Doomsday trailer really isn’t selling it much more than the first for me. Visionquest on the other hand looks weird and spiky and sweet and delightful! Good thing they aren’t downsizing the tv side of things, right Kev?

So, we've got Percy Jackson season 3, VisionQuest, a Bluey movie, X-Men castings, Ahsoka season 2, Coco in Kingdom Hearts 4, and an Avengers: Doomsday trailer that makes Doctor Doom look insanely badass. Goddamnit Disney. I can't stay mad at you long when you pull D23 stunts like this.

I’m hopeful for this. At the very least, it was a canny move to let Spader be Spader since you not only get the benefit of his performance, but you save on mo-cap VFX.

The only thing from those D23 trailers that moved me in any way was the Visionquest trailer and that was primarily due to James Spader absolutely hamming it up. There are few cinematic pleasures greater than James Spader playing a weirdo.

VISIONQUEST looks potentially interesting but does feel a bit too predictably MCU from the trailer. At this point, I wish Marvel would just give everyone with a Disney+ subscription a copy of Tom King's THE VISION. I'd like to see Marvel promote more of their classic comics with these projects.
