Pixar announces Coco 2, set for November 2029
Listen I can understand doing sequels of Disney films that you could continue on the lore and world of (which makes sense), then there are films that felt perfectly fine as a one off film, but then proceed or try to milk the hell out of it Coco 2 feels like the later
Most sequels feel like this, but Coco 2 is especially the case when the first film ended things perfectly
Like, Zootopia and Frozen I get, the worlds lend themselves to more adventures. Coco felt like it was so open and close.
But when we milk something people already like it's less risky!
my kingdom hearts 4 wishlist worlds: Coco (confirmed) Moana (practically guaranteed) Anastasia Dinosaur Great Mouse Detective Frozen 2 (the returning world) Aladdin & King of Thieves (for another returning world) Princess & the Frog Star Wars (semi-confirmed) Summons: Ariel Genie Mushu Groot Homer
It’s shocking to me that they’ve done nothing with The Muppets yet.
if Coco indicates a theming of worlds involving death and the afterlife at least in the early game before SDG reunite, i feel like these two worlds would be perfect.
