Slow Horses Season 6 trailer teases Olivia Cooke's return

tvAug 18, 202623484

Apple TV released the official trailer for Slow Horses Season 6 and reveals Olivia Cooke back as Sid Baker, the character River and viewers were told died in Season 1. In the trailer Gary Oldman’s Jackson Lamb says "we've all faked our own death at one time or another," and River is stunned when Sid appears and says "Hello, River." Lamb asks MI5 director Diana Taverner "Do you know anything about why my Slow Horses keep turning up dead?" The trailer shows an alarming number of former Slough House operatives being targeted, with Lamb ordering the team into a safe house and off their phones. Slow Horses, which debuted in April 2022 and stars Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden, earned nine Emmy nominations for its fifth season. Season 6 consists of six episodes and premieres September 16.

Trailer for upcoming season of Slow Horses. (Can’t wait, but am also very skeptical that they’ve combined two books for this one.) youtu.be/mZbJxpYHLuI

ANOTHER SEASON OF SLOW HORSES MEANS I STILL BELIEVE THERE IS HOPE FOR THE WORLD

I cycle through my streaming services, swapping out one or two every few months, and I've been in heavy withdrawal for Apple+ waiting on this to drop, then I'll binge it, Ted Lasso, Silo, Sugar, et al.

Helen, I couldn't get into the most recent season. Must I try harder???

NotSubtleCritic2

I think I may have to rewatch the first seasons to make this last. One of the best things around; Apple does seem to be the new HBO. (Considering the new HBO is pretty dismal). Thanks for the post!

So exciting! And I’m mixed on blending the two books. I thought “no way” but then I looked at my rundown of what happens in which book (at one time I was reading them out of order and R had to read them in order so I didn’t want to spoil him) and I think they could work together.

Spoilers within. It is up on Apple TV if you prefer to watch it big on a TV (if that's how you watch Apple TV).

(sitting down to watch Slow Horses with @lynnhurtak.com) whadya mean this season is about a mayoral election where a candidate's married to a journalist best associated w/a national gossip rag & also a candidate's family member's legal issues play a part in the campaign ridiculous

I can now break my embargo and announce the latest TV show that has succumbed to "garage lighting". Ironically, it might be one of the best seasons so far but look at it! youtu.be/mZbJxpYHLuI?...

baffles me how this fashion has lasted so long

This is the visual equivalent of making everything from the LSO to the gnarliest Optigan patch sound like Logic strings, isn't it?

Realm of Dusk1

There is a *major* spoiler in that trailer (although I did know it was coming.)

Jules Winter1

Hasn’t it always leaned towards that sort of lighting? But maybe I’m misremembering. Happy to hear that it’s good otherwise though!

High key recommend NOT watching the new trailer for Slow Horses Season 6 as it spoils one of the biggest surprises of the new season. Go in clean! Have fun!

I have wasted many an hour imagining Slow Horses being made by Euston Films or Mark One Productions in about 1978, shot on 16mm and looking absolutely banging. Aside from the computers and mobile phones, you wouldn't need to change a lot. Even the locations would work.

Slow Horses season 6 dropping September 16th. 🎉 I absolutely love this show and you get a new season about once per year (sometimes quicker) unlike many streaming series that make you wait 2-3 years between "seasons".
