George Osborne wants the Customs Union but not the Single Market. I'm so sick of this stupid idea. The Customs Union means a joint seat at the WTO. That's useless unless you have cross border manufacture with the free movement of goods, services, capital and workers facilitated by the Single Market.

Jonathan 🇪🇺3Agreed. A customs union is an improvement on current TCA arrangements, but it is not going to move the dial. EFTA/EEA is the minimum here, if we are going to repair the damage. Sometimes in power you have to make the best decision … not go after the Reform vote.
