Jeremiah Smith breaks Ohio State receptions and TD records

sportsOct 3, 202616457

Jeremiah Smith set Ohio State's career records for receptions and receiving touchdowns during Saturday's win at Iowa. With his second touchdown catch of the game he surpassed Chris Olave for the program record, reaching 36 receiving TDs. Smith hauled in a 57-yard touchdown from Julian Sayin and had six catches for 111 yards and a touchdown in the first half. Ohio State rolled over No. 14 Iowa in the victory, a performance described on Substack as Heisman-worthy and noted in commentary calling Smith a Heisman frontrunner. The records give Smith the program career marks for both receptions and receiving touchdowns and cement his place as Ohio State's leading receiver historically.
