Jiri Kulich scores his first goal of the season, and it's a big one to put the Sabres up 4-3.

Kane with a brutal mistake that gets the Sabres a 2-on-1, but the chance missed. Sabres maintain possession which leads to Owen Power spotting Jiri Kulich far side who makes it 4-3 Buffalo

Welcome back, Jiri Kulich. Takes a feed from Power low in the left circle and beats Knight short side. Sabres lead 4-3

Jiri Kulich converts Owen Power's nifty feed at the bottom of the left circle at 13:20. Sabres up 4-3.

It took plenty of shots on goal, more than a few missed shots and nearly three periods – but Jiri Kulich’s first goal of the season lifted the Sabres to a 4-3 win against the Chicago Blackhawks in the home opener.

Buffalo goal! Scored by Jiri Kulich with 06:40 left in the 3rd. Assisted by Owen Power and Tage Thompson. BUF: 4 | CHI: 3 #CHIvsBUF #LetsGoBuffalo #Blackhawks

Buffalo finally elevated Jiri Kulich from the fourth line. He scored a goal, was a plus-2, had five shot attempts, won six of eight faceoffs. I believe they should make him the first line center with Zach Benson and Tage Thompson as his wingers. End the Thompson-is-a-center experiment. #RockEmSabres

GOAL! JIRI KULICH! 4-3 Sabres. Taps in a pass from Power.
