Kyle Monangai ran for two short rushing touchdowns and logged a career-high 30 carries while leading the Chicago Bears to a 23-12 win over the New York Jets at Soldier Field. Monangai finished with 146 rushing yards and two TDs, helping the Bears pile up 492 total yards and 34 first downs while holding the Jets to 157 total yards. Quarterback Tyson Bagent went 25-for-34 for 268 yards with one interception. Monangai exited late with a thumb injury, a status Courtney Cronin said the team will monitor. The victory put Chicago at 3-1 to start the season and featured the Bears doubling the Jets in time of possession.
