David Ellison announced the senior executive team that will run Skydance, the new company formed by his merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery. The leadership mix includes Warner insiders Casey Bloys and JB Perrette alongside Paramount film chiefs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein, and James Gunn and Peter Safran as co-chairmen of DC Studios. Bloys was named co-chair and chief content officer for direct-to-consumer, and Perrette was named co-chair and chief business officer for TV and DTC. Ellison also tapped Ynon Kreiz as co-CEO of the combined U.S. media group, with CNN chief Mark Thompson saying he will remain in place and report to Ellison and Kreiz. The team will oversee movies, television and streaming operations across the merged company. Ellison inherits immediate strategic choices around newsroom oversight and integration of multiple studio and streaming operations as Skydance moves to implement the merger.
