The Chicago Bears made quarterback Caleb Williams inactive for Sunday’s Week 5 game at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers because of a hamstring injury suffered in Week 2. Williams returned to practice Friday and was listed questionable, but the team officially ruled him out; this is his third straight missed game and the third missed start of his three-year career. Tyson Bagent will start at quarterback for the Bears. The Bears also listed left tackle Ozzy Trapilo inactive as he continues his recovery from a patellar tendon injury; Theo Benedet will start at left tackle with Braxton Jones on injured reserve. Chicago also made running back Kyle Monangai, linebacker Keyshaun Elliott, defensive end Jamree Kromah and defensive tackle Jayden Loving inactive. Green Bay’s inactives include offensive linemen Jacob Monk, Aaron Banks and Donovan Jennings and defensive tackle Anthony Campbell. Williams will not serve as the team’s emergency quarterback for Sunday’s game.
