FFVII Ever Crisis will add Before Crisis story before end-of-service

we had the events of nearly all ff7 media including the lost media java game "before crisis" all in one game! and it's dead. to be fair it was a f2p mobile game with horrid monetisation practices limiting your play & progression to a glacial pace unless you regularly forked over money for it.

at least they're actually managing to squeak into the finish line actually covering Before Crisis, though I feel like people who saw the original trailer were probably hoping for more than a 3 part cutscene event before EOS

Oh this SUCKS because this is the ONLY way to play the Before Crisis content, due to the old game being locked on old phones from the early 00s and I don't even know if we even have the full game dumped either.

So let me get this straight: we’ve waited over five years since hearing Ever Crisis’s announcement to play Before Crisis, and we get less than 3 months to play it before it becomes lost media for a second time. Some people have waited literally 15 years to play this game, and this is all they get?

the impression i got from ever crisis is that they kept dragging their feet actually telling the main story i think i saw more prequel footage than I did anything from FFVII proper

It's overall good that they're weening off the gacha games. BUT - Never did Before Crisis - EoS BEFORE 7 Revelation Are both wild things to go out on.

Since they are doing Before Crisis, though, I wonder: will we hear more of that arrangement of "Elfe's Theme" that played briefly in The First SOLDIER? 🤔
