Really quite looking forward to the Granblue Relink re-launch/expansion tomorrow. Did you know it's secretly a Platinum game? Mostly developed by them, then the core team left to join Cygames to continue it. And it asks the question 'What if Monster Hunter was Bayonetta?'

Specifically, it's two games in one. A Platinum-standard setpiece-heavy story mode that's ~12-15 hours, followed by an endgame that is as long as you want it to be. Many characters to play, lots of party composition options, many big damage numbers. Tomorrow's expansion looks beefy, too.

This review is catered towards returning players, which made this one of the more unconventional reviews I've written that made it fun to write.

Seeing Granblue ReLink just has me wishing Team Ninja could make a Final Fantasy Stranger of Paradise but 3 player co-op raiding. Like, let that team take a crack at this as a do-over. It'll be like SOP and Toukiden had a kid and it would rule.

I am playing way too many games at once, but Granblue Fantasy: Relink is what's surprised me most so far. It's beautiful, it's fun, and I've got a knee-high sky-pirate in my party who has the cutest run I've ever seen in a game.

Granblue Fantasy Relink Endless Ragnarok embargo lifted. Only got the Switch 2 code late last week and haven't beaten the DLC, but performance and visuals are basically like the demo so far. This means no 40/60fps modes if you expected them + same frame pacing issues/drops and dynamic res etc.
