Josh Kerr breaks men's mile world record in London
Breaking News from @theathletic.com: The Olympian Josh Kerr broke the world record for fastest mile, which had stood for 27 years.
Yeah, well, I can do a push up. So there.
this is insane. I ran my best mile this week at 6:30 and this dude cut 3 minutes off that
I drove a mile in like 53 seconds this morning, but ok
People do know you can just walk or take an electric scooter, right?
I’d like to see the mile back in the Olympics. They run on a 400m track. 4 laps and a bit, feels like a better distance than 1500m and has the history of the 4 minute mile. 3:42.66 is crazy fast.
Imagine if the best US athletes ran the mile
.34 seconds faster than the 1983 Billy Joel classic THE LONGEST TIME
i guess he got tired of losing the 1500m every time
A big congrats to Josh Kerr who just broke the 27 year-old world record in the mile run with a time of 3:42.66
Question for you (I've been wondering abt tennis too, it's not specific to one kind of sport) Why do winners look and act as if they were in rage when they win ? It seems recent to me and it feels a bit weird. Did you notice ?
Omg. That is insane. 🔥
Josh Kerr breaking the mile world record is a bigger and more joyous story than some boring golf and some football that hasn’t yet happened, but you’d never know that from the news
I was there ! Absolute joy
Yep. Golf is for the Epstein Class and the World Cup is fixed. This is real
Breaking track & field's most famous record, after it stood for 27 years, should be a huge story. But with his country in the process of getting a new Prime Minister, Trump futzing things up at home and abroad, and the World Cup Final tomorrow, it's getting lost in the shuffle.
