In the FIFA World Cup 2026 third-place match in Miami, England opened a rampant first half against France with a 4-0 lead. Declan Rice scored the opener from long range and then supplied the corner that Ezri Konsa converted for the second. Bukayo Saka added England’s third in the 37th minute after Marcus Rashford carried the ball forward and laid the finish on a counter-attack, and Saka completed his brace before halftime to make it 4-0. CaughtOffside described France’s defending as poor and said England were dominant and likely to press their advantage in the second half.
