Heat 'sucking soils dry' as extreme drought hits Europe
Major climate impacts on crops in North America and Europe. Major shipping disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz and now, potentially, the Red Sea. Transit through the Panama Canal threatened by drought. It's time we started getting serious about #FoodSecurity.

Red Sea isn't potential, after the last one a few years ago, shipping volume never fully recovered, if the alternative isn't much worse (extra distance and time, but no tolls), they avoid it now.
And you can add: production collapse in Russia Record El Niño This year is going to be tough.

Who's sniggering now? (No one.)
Maybe we (and collective governments) need to be doing, not just thinking. Water supply, Inc desalination, leak control (38% at the moment?), renewable energy, the lot.
Have you seen Roz Purcell's posts from her home in Slievenamon?
Oh and I should have said yes, we do owe an apology.
Did ya see* the animated BFG cartoon where they use helicopters to transfer the giants? Reminds me of that *i sm guessing not . Del Boy voiced the BFG.
All those Sitka plantations, planted in their high density are going to make for a bit of a headache for the irish insurance industry.
