Orioles rally past Blue Jays, 4-3, in late comeback

On September 21, 2026 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Baltimore Orioles rallied to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 after erasing a three-run first-inning deficit. Toronto produced the three-run first on RBI singles by Nathan Lukes and George Springer and a sacrifice fly by Sean Keys. Pete Alonso hit a solo homer in the bottom of the first and added a two-run blast in the eighth, his second of the game and his 40th of the season, which gave Baltimore a 4-3 lead. Gunnar Henderson hit a solo home run in the sixth to bring the Orioles within one before Alonso's go-ahead shot. Yennier Cano was credited with the win, Ty Rogers took the loss and Rionel Garcia recorded the save; both teams finished with six hits and no errors. The result moved Toronto to 77-80 and Baltimore to 76-81 and kept both clubs in the late-season American League race while denying the Blue Jays a chance to protect an early road lead.
