Nicole Wickliffe was named executive director of the District of Columbia Housing Authority after a unanimous board vote on September 16, and her appointment begins Monday. Wickliffe has served as interim executive director since April and joined DCHA as deputy executive director in late 2023. She replaces Keith Pettigrew, who left a month earlier to become CEO of the Chicago Housing Authority. Board chairman Raymond Skinner said the board has confidence in DCHA’s future with Wickliffe at the helm. Wickliffe said it is a privilege to serve as DCHA’s leader, praised recent progress, and said she looks forward to strengthening partnerships with the mayor’s office, the DC Council and other stakeholders.
